At times it feels abhorrent to me that I should reap the benefits of a western civilisation that was built on the rape, abuse and destruction of so many cultures and nations. Yet we look to the middle east with judgemental eyes just because we see happening now, what we have already done ten fold throughout history. Sometimes I think the earth should vomit us out, perhaps via gradual climate change or some worldwide catastrophe, and give way to a new species to thrive and evolve. Are we really worthy of dominion? I dont know.
