At times like this, I need these relaxing nature walks MORE THAN EVER, not only for health, but for my own sanity. Brandon also especially needs them. I LOVE ANIMALS as much as anybody, but I believe that, if you are going to take on the responsibility of owning a pet, that you had BETTER keep them under control and OFF the public roadway that I PAY FOR, and have every right to walk, run, or cycle on, but that YOU DO NOT have the right to illegally let them run unleashed on, terrorizing my autistic child. In 2013, I VERY NEARLY had to put down a frequently offending bull dog on John Sam Rd., Bainbridge GA, that attacked ON THE PUBLIC ROADWAY every night when I passed. After a threat with bear spray, the family heeded my warning, and I never saw that dog again. If your dog comes after me and my child IN A PUBLIC ROADWAY I ABSOLUTELY WILL PUMP HIS FACE FULL OF BEAR SPRAY. I just had to give a gentleman (redneck) his final warning about his loose dog at the Bainbridge Boat Basin. He is ALWAYS THERE. The next time, I WILL UNLOAD A CAN OF BEAR SPRAY INTO HIS DOGS FACE, and I will have NO guilt or hesitation about doing it. Dogs are great. Dogs out of control are UNACCEPTABLE... PERIOD!!!
