Ata marie whanau.. I thought I would share with you the very first episode of a little journey that has become now a lifestyle change for many of us in the 2Kaha Hauora Challenge and the teams 2Kotahi and 2Hiringa. It has been a very scary road for many of us but as it as gone on our confidence and ability has grown. This has effected change not only for the individual and teams, but all the whanau and friends connected to this. Below is the very first episode of the 2Kaha challenge filmed 8 weeks ago, with 10 days left it is exciting to see now we we all are at. I am a proud member of the 2Kotahi team actually I will rephase that - 2Kotahi whanau. With each other this dream of good health has become a reality. I love each and everyone of our whanau. We are there for each other and inspire one other every day. 2Hiringa you are a formidable force as a team and push us harder and harder every week, but I am always humbled by your effort and manaakitanga for both teams, as are we. Huge mihi to our team leaders who push and inspire us to go harder and support us to make changes. Kia ora Maylene Meroiti and Kahira Rata Olley. Without your tautoko through the week (no matter how that looks) there would be struggles to make it through. Big ups to Joe Naufahu and the Ludus Magnus trainers who allow us to see what is possible in each one of us. To Nicola Anne Smith and the Whitebait production team thank you for the way each week you depict as with respect and uphold the mana of all the participants involve. I thank you all because without you all this journey would not only be so hard it may not have been completed. And as my beautiful friend Leanne White-Haverkamp said it takes a month to break habits and make new ones. Well 8 weeks down I now my old unhealthy habits have changed soon the new challenge will be maintaining that without the pressure of the cameras.
