Atencion! :Some new faces have been added to Michael Almereyda’s Shakespeare play adaptation CYMBELINE. It was revealed that RESIDENT EVIL’s Milla Jovovich and GOSSIP GIRL’s Penn Badgley have been added to the cast. They both join Ed Harris and Ethan Hawke (you can check Ethan Hawke’s casting story here) CYMBELINE follows the story of a contemporary set romance set against a cop and biker gang war. It has been described as a cross between SONS OF ANARCHY and ROMEO + JUILET. But in the play, the Queen schemes to move her own son from a previous marriage onto the throne at the expense of the orphan Posthumus and the King’s daughter. Jovovich will play the Queen character, while Harris will play Cymbeline, and Badgley takes the role of Posthumus. This is not the first Shakespeare project for director Almereyda, he also directed the 2000 movie adaptation of HAMLET, which also starred Ethan Hawke.
