Atheism and secularism are not organisations, cults or sects. They - TopicsExpress

Atheism and secularism are not organisations, cults or sects. They are broad terms defining people who do not follow a religious theology or doctrine. They merely encourage freedom of thought, and as such, those that fall into the category of secularism have vastly wide ranging, individual views. We are only united in believing everyone has the right to hold their own views and beliefs, not only those laid down by an autocratic leader or religious theology. By definition, atheists have no chief spokesman, or indeed any spokesman. To believe that any one person speaks for any atheist other than themselves is to utterly misunderstand the meaning of atheism. Anon
