Atheism assumes that you can disprove the existence of a god. Atheists must have faith that there is no god because I still have yet to see any evidence showing that their isnt. Yes, maybe they can find evidence the god of Christianity might have been borrowed from an earlier religion but, that doesnt disprove god. They might have evidence that the earth is older than 3,000 years old but, that doesnt disprove god. You would actually be VERY surprised just how much faith you actually have to have to believe in the evolution your taught in school. Here is a VERY interesting 40min video. You say you believe in science and the scientific method so therefore you must look at evidence from both sides.
