Atheists too need a government sanctioned day off with the political leaders extending their greetings to atheists. Atheists too need a day off, if only to discuss the existence of no god, worship of false gods and godmen / god-women and the possibilities of miracle, the cases of murders and rapes against mutt heads and reports of strange experiments within ashrams, founding of newer and fake religions and counter sects of existing religions, the tangent dominant religions are taking under the current situation and the challenges posed by these developments, the existence of fake people who seek domination in society and the mad religious peer pressure and the forgotten primary reason for existence, that is to think, to write about the stupidity in practices of worship, to challenge the the stated origin of religions and the possibilities of such origins, the existence of the exploitative relationship between religion and politics with the latter always seeking to assimilate it. Atheists too need a day off if only to stress the implementation of the order preventing religious functions in private and public sector companies. Atheists too need a day off if only to, in the greatest tradition of Periyar, break the statues of pillaiyar, a no god, in the streets.
