Athens County Sheriff Confirms Krokodil Case Thursday November 21, 2013 4:28 PM UPDATED: Thursday November 21, 2013 4:59 PM ATHENS, Ohio - Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly says theres a confirmed case of Krokodil. According to Kelly, a local heroin dealer told detectives that she believed they bought Krokodil in Columbus when they thought they were buying heroin. The users skin turned scaly in the area where the drug was injected, according to authorities. The sheriff says drug users who have Krokodil will not be charged if they turn the drug into authorities. Krokodil is a heroin-like narcotic which causes permanent brain damage resulting in speech impediments, damage to internal organs, spastic movements and produces severe tissue damage.
