Athens Police are searching for a suspect who entered a woman’s home Thursday night a little before 10. The Police Dept. received a 911 call from a residence in the 300 block of Levert Avenue. The victim told the dispatcher there was a possible intruder in her home. Patrol units were dispatched. The victim told officers she heard someone in the living room, and the suspect came into her bedroom and climbed on top of her. She grabbed the phone by the bed and called 911, which prompted the offender to leave. The victim was not injured. Tracking dogs from Limestone Correctional were unable to locate the offender.
