Athletes of the Week for boys are Christian Figueroa and Logan Dorland. Christian, another exchange student also ran his most complete race of the season, nearly being the fastest JV runner to cross the line (Ben Polman just out kicked him). He ran a PR of over a minute and hes also been a lot of fun to coach. He keeps asking me how much longer XC will last, and hes continually disappointed that it wont last longer into his stay. I broke my rule of always choosing a new runner for this honor. Logan Dorland has already been athlete of the week, but he was chosen again for his breakthrough performance on Friday. He improved his best ever time by over 2 minutes and he has a lonnnnngggg way to go. Hes got the heart, the frame, and the genetics to be one of our best runners someday. Keep us the good work Logan. From now on, the Athletes of the Week honors will be reserved for our best performers at both Districts and State. Lets go for it!
