Athletic Events in Conjunction with Homecoming McKenzie, Tenn. – In conjunction with the 2013 Bethel Homecoming activities several out of season athletic programs will conduct various events showcasing their teams. The Lady Wildcat and Cat basketball teams will each be in action this weekend with each holding a basketball scrimmage in Crisp Arena. The Cats will have their annual Purple-White inter-squad scrimmage Friday at 3 p.m. The women will be in action Saturday with the following schedule: 11 am -12:15 pm Bethel v. Dyersburg State 12:15 -1:30 pm Fisk v. Columbia State 1:30-2:45 pm Fisk v. Dyersburg State 2:45-4:00 pm Bethel v. Columbia State All action will be take place in Crisp Arena on the campus of Bethel University. There is no admission charge. All fans are encouraged to attend and get an early look at the 2013-14 Wildcats and Lady Cats. The Bat Cats (baseball) team will have a softball style scrimmage alumni game at 11 a.m. Saturday. After the game fans are invited to enjoy the 3rd Annual Timmy Kilburn Shrimp Boil. Shooting, Golf and Fishing events are scheduled for Friday. The Wildcat 5K Run, sponsored by the Bethel Cross Country program is scheduled for Saturday morning. Tailgating and the Wildcat Strut takes place at noon in Wildcat Alley behind the Vera Low Center.
