They also beat Toms River North to advance to the Shore Conference Finals vs Pinelands on Wednesday at Wall High School! shoresportszone/main-story-section/lady-lancers-top-paul-vi-7-1-win-24/ Track- Thompsons State Championship win leads 6 Lancers into the Meet of Champions Our Girls track team continued their strong momentum at the Non Public A State Group Championships this past weekend. Six girls had qualified for the meet, and all six individuals advanced to the prestigious Meet of Champions scheduled for Wednesday June 4. Courtney Thompson captured her 5th overall state individual title winning the 3200 meter run in a new school record time of 10:49.74 seconds. Monica Heil placed third in the 400 in 57.46, again lowering her school record. Tina Lebron took third in the javelin, Tara Connelly 4th in the 1600, Katie DiFrancesco 4th in the 400, and Brenna Remick 6th in the 800. The Boys Track Team performed very well in the State Championships this weekend. The 4x100m Relay team of Frank Bonavitacola, Tyrique Hall, Vinnie Soccoa, and Ray Gabeau placed 3rd. Josh Taylor placed 4th in the 110m Hurdles. All five athletes will advance to compete in the State Meet of Champions.
