Atl, GA- Howdy, yaall! Im Rhett just like Rhett from Gone with the Wind. Someone thought I was a boy because almost all orange cats are boys but I sure showed them! I am a rare orange lady cat. The Angels have taken excellent care of this southern gal and Ive had my vaccinations, been spayed and even have a micro chip. My mama and my sisters and I were turned in at Animal Control when I was just a week old. You see, the people who promised to take care of my mama didnt want any kittens around and we were a deal breaker. It was not my mamas fault they never had her spayed. Mama Scarlett was only doing what comes naturally to mature unaltered cats - she made babies and here I am. We were dangerously close to being put down at the animal shelter. In fact, wed already been taken to the room to be euthanized when the Angels came and saved us. Five more minutes and I wouldnt be writing to you at all. I am a very sweet gal. I am not what you might call a lap cat but I do like to cuddle... Id just rather sit beside you than sit on you. I simply adore my cat toys - especially those made from feathers. Ive never had the opportunity to chase a real bird but if what I do with a feather toy is anything like what I would do with a bird, well, lets just say the birds are lucky Im strictly an indoor cat. I do love laying in the window watching the birds fly by... maybe one day... Oh. Foster Mom said, No real birds, Miss Rhett. Darn it. I love playing with other cats and Im not scared of dogs. Ive never been around small children but if they were respectful of me I think I would be respectful of them. Thats just good manners, after all. Foster Mom tells me all the time that I am a pretty lady and that I bring joy to her home. She also tells me that somewhere out there I have a furever family waiting for me. She told me we were saved because there was a plan for us. Maybe that plan includes you and a happily ever after ending for both of us! Email [email protected] for more info about Rhett.
