Atlantic Citys title reign came to a shocking and dramatic end Thursday, as the Vikings lost a heartbreaker to Southern Regional, 57-56, in a South Jersey Group IV quarterfinal at ACHS. Jake Logue went the length of the court off a missed free throw and scored at the buzzer to give the seventh-seeded a berth in the sectional semifinal against Cherokee. The two-time defending state champion Vikings had rallied from a five-point deficit to take the lead on Kevin Allens free throw with 7.6 seconds left, but Allen missed the back end of the one-and-one, setting up Logues heroics. Isiah Graves had 20 points for the second-seeded Vikings. Mike Gesicki had 20 points, setting the Southern record for career scoring. Its been a great run, but its over, said AC coach Gene Allen.
