Attended an excellent Public Town Hall Meeting today in Sequim to discuss Washington States Alzheimers Disease Plan recently authorized by legislation and coming into being with input from communities statewide. Learn more and see the calendar of town hall meetings at: altsa.dshs.wa.gov/stakeholders/AD/ Rep. Steve Tharinger, Bob LeRoy of Alzheimers Association of Western & Central WA, social worker/Caresharing author Martha E. Marty Richards, are 3 of the 33 members of a new working group developing the plan. It was great to hear family care partners speak openly about their experiences and needs - and to see many longtime advocates for quality of life and care including Kathy Burrer, administrator of Dungeness Courte Memory Care where Songwriting Works has composed 5 songs to date. Heres the video of WWII Homecoming - a groundbreaking project that reunited family and taught us so much about the power of song. https://youtube/watch?v=n4-Eu6Faamk
