Attended my 50th high school class reunion last weekend in Indy. It was a wonderful two day event shared with many old, old friends. I went up to one of the former jocks. He looked at me, scooped me up and asked when I got so short. Awkward! I assured him I was the same size as I was in high school. A highlight was walking the Indiana University campus with a dear friend. We still agree it is one of the most beautiful campus settings anywhere with paths, mammoth trees, brooks and lovely old buildings. Another high light was visiting the "new high school" where sitting just inside the front door is a Indy race car. Walked Main Street and within sight is the Indianapolis 500 Mile Speedway. They were doing tire tests that day and the I realized that the sounds of cars racing around the track is a sound imbedded in my childhood. Also had a nice visit with my 99 year old mother-in-law and my sisters-in-law. Lovely weekend.
