Attended the Sustainable Tourism Conf. Great attendance and great enthusiasm. International speakers advised us of best practice and the platform we now have with the Geo Park in the Burren to launch forward.With countries like Serbia and Costa Rica leading the way in re development it shows Ireland what can be done ! A community based project has shown how to link local with international.Fantastic job by a local group. An issue raised was the financial sustainability of sustainable tourism? How ? Companies put forward were 90% funded.This cannot be sustainable.With great operators on the ground needing help through the winter and with marketing etc it makes sense to collaborate and team up as a community or group.Overall a great conference , Fab job by the Burren team!
