Attended two-day (March 31 & April 01,2014) very successful , informative and learning training workshop on Research Methodology at University of Karachi, Sindh. The purpose of the training was to enhance the capacity of (Master, M.phil and P.hd) students to develop substantial expertise and skills in different areas of research and methodology . The facilitators of the training were (research scholars) Dr. Moonis Ahmar (Dean Faculty of Arts), Dr. Anila Amber ( Chairperson Psychology Department), Dr Nabeel Zubairi, Prof. Dr, Kaleem Raiz Khan, Dr. Farhan . Siddiqi, Dr. Nisar A. Zubaira, prof. Dr. Ejaz Ahmed and Mr. Sibgatullah Hussani . They covered the major topics in this two days training; • Ethical and legal issues of Research and plagiarism • Reviewing the literature • Generating an idea. • Determining variable/ Development of Hypothesis • Information gathering alternatives: strength & weaknesses • Selecting a strategy Qualitative Methods/ Quantitative Methods and Generalization • Academic writing
