Attending an interview conducted by a Secondary School BOG for employment as a teacher some years ago, Soyinka Lempaa, was asked, who is the PS for Education? He responded, Mr Chairman, the best question should have been, what are the functions and duties of a PS for education. You shouldnt personalize the office because as we sit here, we dont know if the PS has just been fired or resigned. The BOG was taken aback and openly acknowledged the logic. But they were not going to hire such a big-headed character.
