You must know this My Teacher. You must know this My teacher Why can’t you tolerate my noise in class? Why can’t you make me debate in my language if I can’t excel Why can’t you take me to the field and see if I can’t be the next Frank Fredericks My teacher, those words that you used to say I will become nothing, manifested and I am nothing My teacher you wished to see me with 4kids of different fathers and that manifested My teacher you never embraced the little positive-ness in me Oh, there was never one, simply because I was scared to be made a laughing stock I was scared to be reprimanded with ENGLISH hence I did not understand it I was too inferior, because you would compare me with your best leaners I was always quite when you walk in class, because the way you talk, dictate my silence Oh My Parents didn’t know: My Teacher. You must know this My heart always told me I could be like, Brenda Fassie Those aspects were never given a chance, I admitted that ke nna domkop All my friends were bad people simple because we all cheated, so we can feel appreciated by my teacher Too often my teacher walked out of class with a hit to discredit one domkop Oh my teacher, you have succeeded and now, I am your perfect example When I walk heading the herd passing my former high school You point at me and tell the current crop they will be like me I am here simply because you my teacher put me there I am your product You are only proud of the few, who passed with flying colours I remain inferior even today when I meet you When I meet you, you still reiterate that you told me You still remain unapologetic about my current situation Oh My Teacher. You must know this You were given all powers to mould me, but you failed me You had a chance to make me a better person and you failed I hope you get reminded of what you did to me when we meet You always look up to those who drive POLO vivo and proudly say “that’s my child” I just want you to know my teacher, I am your product My teacher I am not blaming you but you must know that I am your PRODUCT Maisela Makoboti .
