Aqua Jax is working hard to get the message out and ramping us its Fundraising efforts. If you have ever wondered why a great city like Jacksonville doesnt have more large scale family attractions such as an Aquarium, this is your chance to be part of our journey. This is not just our aquarium, it will be YOUR Aquarium. For any naysayers, why would the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens make us an official partner and agree to operate the Aquarium as a sister facility if this was not real? jacksonville/news/metro/2014-12-23/story/vision-downtown-aquarium-within-sight We estimate 1 Million Visitors to Downtown in the 1st Year of Operation and over 100,000 School Children from North Florida/South Georgia to enter the doors of the Aquarium annually. As part of the vision, we want to have a River Cruise going between the Aquarium in Downtown to the Jacksonville Zoo on the Northside with stops in between at the Landing, MOSH/Friendship Park and the Cummer Museum.
