Attention CTHULHU lovers.... I know Im a little late to the party but Ive been reading some Lovecraft- At the Mountains of Madness currently- and while I was always aware of pieces of Cthulhu Methos and Necronomicon stories Im beginning to understand why this whole world has such fiercely obsessive followers and piles of fiction based on more or less one mans brainchild. SO.... Now Im just curious to know what was it about the 20s and early 30s that motivated so much creature lore and dark ancient fiction?! Id love some fun informed and hypothetical input!
