Attention, California residents: Speak out for gray wolves this Thursday! The California Fish and Game Commission is considering a vital petition by the Center for Biological Diversity to list gray wolves under the state Endangered Species Act, which would protect wolves from hunters and trappers. In April, after nearly rejecting the petition, they decided to postpone the decision for 90 days. The reason for this is that many interested Northern California residents weren’t able to attend – so we need to pack the next meeting full of passionate, local wolf lovers! Here are the details: THIS THURSDAY, June 4, 2014, 8:30 a.m. River Lodge Conference Center 1800 Riverwalk Drive, Fortuna, CA You will be able to speak briefly or submit written comments. IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND, you can still submit written comments to [email protected]. If we don’t speak up on Thursday, gray wolves won’t be granted the protections they so desperately need in California.
