Attention FB friends who live in Jefferson County: Normally, out of respect for the parties involved, I wouldnt do this. However, in light of recent events, I feel Ive been left no other alternative and this is just the first step in putting this nonsense to rest. As you may know, my son-in-law to be is running for a political office in Jeff County. Since he filed his nomination, this poor kid has been nothing short of harassed by the little clique in Hillsboro. He was removed from his job as bailiff and put back on road patrol; he has been the subject of rumors, allegations and accusations--yes, I know, political mudslinging and all. Apparently the bullying is escalating, only now it has targeted my family and friends. The opposing party fan club is harassing a good friend of mine about information on ME, going as far as calling her boss to force her to give them MY last name!?! What part I play in all of this is way beyond my comprehension. I am NOT running for anything in the Jeffco political arena--frankly I dont give two rats asses about politics. This incumbent seems to be under the mistaken impression that her ELECTED position is an entitlement, not a privilege. Im truly not understanding why she and her fan club are so upset about someone, ANYONE, running against her. If you feel youve performed your ELECTED duties to the best of your capabilities, why are you freaking out about a newcomer running against you?? I can say Mama Lion is about to roar if this keeps up. Please, please, please check out your candidates thoroughly before casting your vote.
