Attention Facebook Users!! Fraser Valley Wireless as of recent is expanding in the Okanagan region adding a total of 4 new locations!!! This gives us a total of 7 locations in this region, since doing so we are currently looking for a Retail Area Manager to look after these 7 locations. Below are listed attributes, characteristics and qualifications Fraser Valley Wireless is looking for in our candidates for this position: Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the Retail Area Manager is responsible for all areas of sales, hiring, training and developing employees in the Okanagan. By leading and supporting the Okanagan team, your role is to grow sales and hit various targets. You minimizes staff turnover by creating and maintaining a positive and fun working environment that continuously celebrates and rewards individual and team success. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -train, manage, coach and support team of Retail Store Managers and Sales Reps -recruiting, interviewing and selection of sales reps and Retail Store Managers -liaising with Rogers head office staff for coordinating training, merchandising, sales contest, etc. -working as a team with head office staff including human resources, accounting/payroll, and inventory to ensure clear communication between sales and operations -communicate required updates to company policy and procedures to your manager -execute discipline including em ployee write-ups -achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets consistently -achieve sales, mystery shop & customer satisfaction targets -ensure all retail stores are adequately scheduled for store shifts to maximize sales -ensure all customer transactions are completed following Rogers and FVW guidelines -ensure all retail store staff complies to Rogers and FVW policies and procedures -handle customer escalations in a timely manner and within budget -notify manager of any suspect or fraudulent activity, required updates to policy and procedures and any other pertinent information that affects the success or failure of FVW and its staff -coordinate retail store and community event marketing to increase awareness and sales - Plan well organized in store promotions to maximize traffic and sales for sales staff -Maintaining retail store merchandising QUALIFICATIONS: - Post Secondary Education - Minimum five (5) years managing a staff greater than 10 employees. - Experience managing teams and other retail managers - Excellent leadership skills - Proven sales and operations success in retail sales as a Retail Store Manager - Highly organized, detail-orientated, proactive and confident - Work well independently and with others with various personalities and require minimal supervision - Ability and willingness to travel with overnight stays as required. - Work schedule to be Tuesday to Saturday Local candidates are ideal for this position to help with recruiting and knowledge of the local area.
