Attention High School Juniors and Parents... Are you interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) areas? NASA is sponsoring The Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars (VASTS) program which is an interactive online course available to you at NO COST! The online course covers modules on Mars Mission Design and Human Spaceflight. Successful completion of this course is followed by a one-week residential Summer Academy at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton for those who qualify. The online course has no cost and runs from December 2014 until May 2015. If selected to participate in the Summer Academy students will interact with NASA scientists, engineers, and technologists designing a human mission to Mars. Students who successfully complete the on-line course receive 2 college credits and 2 additional credits for the Summer Academy. For more information and an application visit: vasts.spacegrant.org.
