Attention Reeds Spring alumni, Zahner family, and my friends! I am wanting to do something amazing with a piece of my history. You know how many of us loved our first car, and wish we had it back? Well, I never got rid of mine. Got it when I was 16 as a gift from my parents. 1972 Ford Gran Torino in bright red, cherry condition when i got it. I wrecked it in High school a couple times, blew the engine, and mostly rebuilt it. It has been sitting rotting since 1999. Sitting in my garage now, looking decrepit and disassembled. I have most of the tools and know how to get her on the road again. Here is what I am asking. Could you please see if there is any chance you have a picture of me and that car from 1993, 1994, 1995? I have lost a large sum of pictures of my youth, sadly. I intend to start as soon as possible on climbing the mountain of fixing her up as a project I an my children can help with and keep as a memory for the rest of their life. I cannot wait to see it nice and driving again. Same car in the Clint Eastwood movie, Gran Torino, Same model was in one of the Fast and the Furious movies, and similar to the Starsky and Hutch car, FYI. If you wanted to help turn some wrenches on her, you would make my favorites list as well. Thank you everyone. Motivate me, wish me luck, and pray for me.
