Last Date Feb 19, 2015 National Entrance Screening Test NEST Entrance Exam 2015 | Integrated M.Sc About NEST Entrance Exam 2015 | Integrated M.Sc National Entrance Screening Test, NEST Examis a compulsory test for students seeking admission to NISER Bhubaneswar- National Institute of Science Education and Research and UM-DAE CBS Mumbai- University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences Both NISER Bhubaneswar and CBS are autonomous institutions established by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, in 2007. NEST Exam 2015 is for Admission into Integrated M.Sc in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The NEST 2015 will be conducted at 52 major towns and cities all over India on May 30, 2015 (Saturday), 9:30am – 1:00pm Total Number of Seats under NEST Exam 2015 Total Number of Seats at NISER Bhubaneswar: 100 seats +2 Total Number of Seats at CBS: 45 seats+2 Kindly Note: 2 Seats in each institutions is reserved for the candidates belonging to the state of J&K. Other Institution accepting the score of NEST 2015 for admission Integrated Science Education and Research Center (ISERC), Visva Bharati, is also participating in NEST 2015 and will admit students for its Integrated MSc course from the Merit List of NEST 2015. Total no. of Seats at ISERC- 21 seats Scholarship to Students: All the candidates admitted to 5-year Integrated MSc programme at NISER and CBS are eligible for INSPIRE Scholarship by Govt of India of Rs. 5,000 per month and Rs. 20,000 per year for carrying out summer projects. Candidates appearing in 2015 are also eligible. The candidates should be from science stream (having any combination of Biology/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Physics) at class XII. Age:Candidates in General and OBC category should be born on or after July 15, 1995. For SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates-The age limit is relaxed by 5 years Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates in General and OBC category : At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
