SOUTHERN COMPANY CAREER OPPORTUNITY POWER SYSTEM COORDINATOR - ATLANTA GEORGIA - MULTIPLE VACANCIES The Transmission Power System Coordinator works in the Georgia Transmission Control Center (GCC) and is responsible for operating the Georgia Integrated Transmission System according to established guidelines and policies. This position monitors and controls system voltages and loads, provides direction to field personnel during routine and emergency conditions, writes and issues switching orders, and tracks clearances on transmission lines and equipment. This position works on a 24x7 rotating shift in the Transmission Control Center at the Georgia Power corporate offices in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will be required to obtain NERC Certification. Power System Coordinators will be required to successfully complete 12 weeks of in-house training. Benefit Information • €Starting Salary Range $56,952 — $71,184 annually • €10% bonus potential • €401k and Pension • €Healthcare Benefits Additional Requirements • €The successful candidate will work a 24x7 rotating shift position - working 12 hour shifts including days, nights and weekends. • €The successful candidate will be expected to relocate his/her permanent residence to within commutable distance of Atlanta, GA area if not already living within commutable distance of metro Atlanta. Relocation assistance will be considered. • €Additionally, successful candidate must be able to earn NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) system operator certification.
