Attention everyone: The deadline to submit for the debut issue of The Insomniac Propagandist is January 6, 2014. The general theme for the issue is reflections of an expatriate (in a loose sense of the word). Whether you have been a drifter all your life or have never left your childhood neighborhood, the concept of home is fluid, affected by the people we interact with and the changing nature of our environment. One’s perceptions of home can provoke a variety of feelings including isolation, loneliness, security, comfort, and discovery. Acceptable submissions include short fiction and creative nonfiction, poetry, graphic storytelling, and artwork but feel free to be as creative and experimental as possible. Keep in mind this first issue will be printed in black ink, so make sure that any illustrated material can translate to grayscale. Each contributor will receive a free copy of the first issue.
