Attention mountain bike enthusiasts! This years Western Open downhill mountain bike race at KHMR is on August 3rd and 4th. This is a BC Cup points race that will see close to 300 of the fastest riders from BC, Alberta, and beyond challenge themselves on our steep terrain. We need volunteers to make this event possible and you will get a front row seat for all the action. For each day that you volunteer you will receive a summer lift ticket. If you volunteer both days you can trade the summer tickets for one winter lift ticket. Additionally you will receive a Western Open t-shirt, lunch, and the chance to win some great draw prizes. If you are interested please contact Ryan Harvey at avalanche@kickinghorseresort with the dates that you are available, whether you have a valid first aid ticket (not necessary for all volunteers), any dietary restrictions, and if you prefer 2 summer or 1 winter ticket if you will be here both days.
