Attention my fellow stockpilers & food pantry donors! With our crazy schedules, the Chief and I do not have typical date nights. Friday is date day for us. We go to breakfast, go to the flea market (weather permitting) or some other mutually agreed upon destination, then we head to the Ellet Acme Fresh Market. The Chief gets his hair cut at the Buckeye Barbershop and I grocery shop. Im always looking for a good deal. This week Acme has Food Club canned vegetables 2 for $1, Hunts Snack packs for .88, Hunts 24oz Pasta Sauce and 16oz Manwich sauce for .88 a can, Food Club pasta is $1 per box, Food Club cereal is $1.69 a box. I dont really consider this a stockpile item, but Brownberry bread is Buy One Get One Free. I love Brownberry 12 Grain bread and this is a great price. There are many, many more items on sale this week, but these are especially great for your home stockpile and donations to your local food pantry. I always recommend rinsing your canned vegetables to reduce the sodium content. Simply putting them in a strainer and rinsing them can reduce the sodium content by 40%.
