Attention restaurant owners, chefs, butchers, deli counter staff - TopicsExpress

Attention restaurant owners, chefs, butchers, deli counter staff and makers of fine sangwidges: When making something youre calling a chicken cordon bleu sandwich, please note that in French, cordon bleu simply means blue ribbon. Its not a reference in any way to blue cheese. There is no need to put blue cheese anywhere near anything called cordon bleu. Chicken cordon bleu is a chicken breast, usually breaded, stuffed with ham and melty cheese (usually a swiss variety). Lets all learn from this and move on. Thank you for your attention.
