Attention trail peeps, spread da word: The Boulder County Transportation Department is seeking a Regional Trails Planner to assist with the implementation of the countys regional trails program. The position reports to the Capital Improvement Program Coordinator in the Planning Division and serves within a team structure. The trails planner will work with the transportation, planning, engineering, and open space staff to oversee the completion of design and construction of current trails projects; implement new trails projects within the capital improvement program; track progress of trails and other capital improvement projects that are in development; work with state and federal agencies to represent the department on statewide trail planning efforts; support development of the long-term CIP; develop trails plans, signing plans, and operational plans for existing and planned county regional trail networks; provide consultant management; assist with submission of state and federal grant applications; coordinate with property owners and jurisdictional partners; manage and lead public processes; coordinate trails operations planning; and perform other related duties as required.
