Attention vintage gun collectors. Here is your chance to purchase a rare Ithaca 12 ga. shotgun in great condition! Here is a fine example of an ITHACA, LEWIS MODEL, named for Chester Lewis who is credited with the design of the gun. This Lewis Model was made in 1904 according to the Ithaca serial number. Serial numbers for this model are 94109 to 105999. This one is 98xxx. (This is a “Field Grade” shotgun per the “S” above the 12 by the s/n) The bores are excellent, bright and shiny and the barrels are solid with no rib separation and lock up very tight. The wood does not have any cracks and only a few minor blemishes considering it is 110 years old. The bluing on the barrels is in good condition with a couple of small dents and one small spot of surface rust. There doesn’t seem to be any trace of the original case color on the receiver and the engraving is still legible but very worn. All in all, this is a fine looking vintage American shotgun. Because of its age, I would recommend that you have gun checked by your gunsmith before shooting it. Asking $500 – OBO. (Additional pictures upon request) You must be a Ohio resident to purchase this gun! — in Zanesville, Ohio.
