Attn: Mac Nerds: Need advice! I work on a Mid-2007 iMac, 4MB RAM on OSX 10.10.5 & its getting increasingly slow, bogged down. Ive deleted tons of old files & have plenty of room on the HD, but by days end I have to restart once or even a 2nd time later in the evening in order to run decently. Sometimes I also have to clear cookies & cache. I think its time to do a clean install of Yosemite. I run daily backups with Time Machine onto an external drive, use Cloud, & might also sign up for a trial with Carbonite. What can I anticipate in terms of incompatible apps, esp. those we Realtors rely on most? Will I have to reinstall ALL my applications? A couple of months ago I tried to download Yosemite from the App Store (my Mac is connected to the internet via home wifi setup) & it would not work (untenably slow, as in more than 24 hrs. & never completed the download). Thoughts? Advice?
