Audio Throwback Thursday... Way back before many of you were born, there existed a home video gaming system known as Nintendo, followed closely behind by its vastly improved successor, Super Nintendo. I composed original music for several Super Nintendo games (in addition to several CD-ROM-based games), and was just sent a link to a YouTube upload of the soundtrack for my first one. If you choose to listen, please keep in mind that these were the very early days of video games, and as a composer, I was limited by their technology to compose pieces with no more than 8 individual notes occurring simultaneously (since the decay of a note counts as a note until it fully stops sounding, this limitation proved frustrating beyond measure...well, I guess it was measured in groups of 8). If enough folks enjoy this, perhaps Ill upload some more on future T.T.s (and if not, I wont lose any sleep; this was simply a fun chapter in my creative journey I thought Id share with yall)...
