Aug. 13, 1912 - March 11 2011. Disabilities Activist & NAN Warrior for Justice Pamela C. Bates was remembered and honored by renaming a Democratic Club where she devoted her time and skills to now called, The Pamela Childs Bates Progressive Club. She has been called A Humble Hero. Pamela Bates worked with NYC politicians to bring about changes in the MTA System for the disabled, where all who used the system benefited from also. As a member of National Actiom Network, her contributions to the Disability Committee will be continued through Sandra Mitchell who have herself been a leader for change.
