Augh soo mad right now!!!! At the end of August I found out that the volunteer who was in charge of my daughters Girl Scout troops finances, had stolen around $500 from the girls. We went about it following proper protocol. I spent a lot of my time and gas in my vehicle going back and forth to the bank and getting papers and copies to the right people, only to find out this woman is leaving town, and there is nothing we can do to get our girls money back!!! Im just in shock still that someone could be so heartless to steal from a group of 7 year old girls!!! I have been a Volunteer leader for my daughters Troop for the past 2 years and on Wednesday we will be starting our 3rd year! Over the past 2 years I have donated many many hours and a lot of money from my own pocket to make sure the girls are enjoying themselves and I have not once asked for anything in return!! I love being a leader and spending time with my daughter and all my other little brownie Girl Scouts! I love the idea of Girl Scouts and what we are trying to teach the girls honesty, respect and sisterhood. I feel bad for these girls that someone could take advantage of them like this and not even bat an eye!! At least with her leaving town no one will have to worry about this lady stealing from anymore of children!!! Rant over!!!
