August 1. Scheduled to fly to Tokyo. ne week of training, and then to Okinawa for first teaching assignment in US History (two classes). Preparation for the new position has involved several days of on-line training, with more to follow, and endless forms. Collegiate Traveling Faculty: Associate Professor, University of Maryland University College, Asia (covers Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Guam). There is a remote possibility that they could send me also to Europe (which I would like, where I could visit daughter Elizabeth at Oxford U.).
