August 17th, 2014, I had a life changing moment. A brain stem stroke nearly claimed my life. I was told I may never walk again, I was told I may have problems seeing for the rest of my life, and I was told I may be dependent on others to care for me for the rest of my days. I received a lot of help and support from my close friends and family to push me to get up and walk and get myself better. Little by little, I continue to do so. On January 24th, 2015, I had another life changing experience. I saw a community along with my friends and family, reach out and help me when I needed it the most. I am so grateful. Thank you for all those who have helped, who have been there to support me, for those who have lent a kind word, and for everyone who has pushed me to get back on my feet. Thank you.
