August 1st, 1981 in the Chapel of Redemption, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Moses Adepoju, a dapper young man dressed in suit and tie, gazed into the eyes of his lady love (Grace Abidoye) and said “Darling, I will cherish you for the rest of my life!” 33 years later they are still going strong, and yes he is still saying Gracey, I promise to love you with everything I am and have! What more could Children say, but thank you for being our parents every day! Moses, my father is handsome and fly, a great leader and a man of God, my father has a heart of Gold! Dressed in tees, shirts, natives or suits, my father still is the handsomest of them all! He with witty words and a gap toothed smile stole my heart from when I was a babe… the love they share sets my heart aflutter; and oh did I mention I am his daughter? An amazing husband and wonderful father, an epitome of all I pray to have and more in the coming years, he has served as a roof over our heads! Grace, my mother is gracious and sweet with a smile a close-up advert cannot beat! She is hospitable and kind, a rock behind the leader, she lends him support! She is a wonderful woman, of that I am sure, how could I ever wonder how his heart she stole! When mother smiles, the world lights up with cheer, for her smile fills her eyes, you don’t need to guess! Mother is stylish and motherly all the same, with a deep inner beauty Guccis cannot give! A mother to many with brothers and sisters aplenty, you opened our home till we knew that being hospitable wasn’t a choice, it was a lifestyle we were taught to live! Oh mother, I love you, I wish you knew how much, for in your life I see submission to the man of your dreams! Its been 33 years of extraordinary Grace for Moses. Gods Grace has truly been sufficient for Moses as he led Grace into the Land that God had promised them! Together they brought us up, with loving words and a firm hand, instilling an identity in us, oh my word, you are worth every tear! Our parents we are grateful for all the love you have shown to us and each other through all these years! Your loving example plays out in our lives, as each of us get married and build our own homes! Dear father and mother, we and all our cousins dear, will like to say we love you so much, and are grateful that the good Lord deemed it fit to make you our own! Happy Anniversary!!
