August 24,2013 we adopted this special guy! He ! scarfed up his food, (was rescued from starvation), wakes at 5 am and feels threatened by everything... So what has changed? He now can walk past our other mini Doxis food and not steal it, he can stay in bed and cuddle til 8 am (once in a while - usually 6-630), only gets scared when he hears loud talking/yelling.... Hard for this Italian family, but we too have learned to be a bit more mellow. He has brought us love and surprised us with his love of taking baths and showers! He has learned to play, almost brought me the ball back a couple of times! Best of all, he is and always will be a special dog of in our family and he and my little Simba are just like brothers! Thank you Gerties and Pauline Pilat!
