August 27, 2014 Four pounds! 4 lbs and 1 oz actually! Yahoo! Think back just a bit more than a month ago and you were 2 lbs and 7 ozs Abigail. What a road youve been on, with a journey of so much more ahead of you! Abbey drank from a bottle again today and the more natural way too. It tuckers her out though, so not every feeding is done that way. But as long as shes getting a chance and taking to it, shell get there. There is a scale in the room now for weighing her before and after breast feeding, in case you are wondering how they tell how much she drinks. And Cheryl has to adjust her schedule a bit so that she isnt empty when its feeding time, which is 8, 11, 2, 5 round the clock. Abbeys eye exam was last night. Premature retina still and no sign of ROP, which I wont pretend to understand or explain except to say no sign of is good - new exam in three weeks. Cheryl spent a good part of the day with Abbey as I was home for recovery. Felt good enough though that I put the crib together, now we have to just not run into it in her room. Might be time for us to move back to our room so we can get her room squared away and ready for her! Other whiteboard in the room is guesses for going home. So far, from Sept 8 to sept 15. Sooner is of course, better, as long as shes ready cause I know mom and dad will be! Whats your guess!!?
