August: Osage County. What a dark, disturbing film. That being said, it showcased a top notch cast of headliners with Meryl Streep at the front of the line. Though it is not a movie I can say I would watch over and again as it leaves you feeling rather defeated, the cast performed brilliantly. A film that can stir in me as much as this one did-well, that speaks for itself. I am looking forward to my next pick, Philomena. I am hoping it has a rather brighter feeling to it. This one left me a bit too reminiscent of my own family dysfunction, and that evokes in me demons I would prefer to stay burried.
