August drill served as Spc. Evonne Bakkos final training assembly with the 188th Army Band. Spc. Bakko served over 12 years between the Army Reserve and the North Dakota Army National Guard. She served both as an Army Bandsman and a Food Service Specialist during her time in the military including a year-long deployment to Iraq. In the 188th Army Band, Spc. Bakko served as a tuba instrumentalist and a vocalist in the concert band in addition to being a member of the Dixieland Ensemble. This past Sunday, Command Sgt. Major Guy Boschee of 68th Troop Command recognized her contributions to the NDNG and presented her a coin in appreciation of her time served with the organization.
