Auntie nanny Rosie update : today weve had some slighty better news from Spain - Rosie is still in the torremolinos hospital having rehab and physio , shes very doddery and weak still but managing a few steps with walking aid, and today they have removed her tubes so shes not soo confined and frustrated so she can now use a real loo !!! , unfortunately the infection has worsened the dementia a great deal and doesnt understand shes in hospital so she gets very upset and confused - shes living in her own little bubble in her head and is talking a lot to uncle chas ( her husband who died 28 years ago :((() shes still needing 24/7 care so the family and Selina have been doing a relay team of care so shes never left on her own for a minute as she needs constant reassurance of whats happening .... Emotionally shes very up and down lots of tears and frustration mixed in with silly jokes and singing and laughing - shes been great with the docs and nurses - I think she thinks they are pontins blue costs !!! Xxx Selina has been reading her all your lovely messages and playing her all her favourite tunes to keep her spirits lifted xxx on Tuesday they are hoping she will be well enough to be moved to the nursing home and her room is next to the nursing station .... We can all only pray now that she settles in well to her new home and lives a happy bonkers life there which is in torrequebrada/benalmadena near all her family and friends .... Knowing Rosie she will think she works there as the cleaner !!! And will make herself busy in and out of everyones rooms !!!! Really hope so anyway - I love her soooo much this has been sooo painful and heartbreaking for all of us just praying now for for to find some happiness in the home xxxxxxxxxxx
