Aunty Ong had her eye checked today at Pantai Medical Centre Cheras. I just love talking to her..Despite of all her problems, she is so jovial and she never fails to give you a broad smile. Some of the stories she told me is quite saddening...especially her experience at Sg. Buloh detention centre. She said living in Bandar Tasik Selatan station was quite comfortable cos its clean, more spacious and there were many chairs where she could sleep on. At the same time travelling from one place to another place was easier. Early this year..when she was resting at her usual place..she was caught by the authorities and sent to Sg.Buloh detention centre. She described the experience of the people in the centre in just 4 words.. Semua orang sana MAKAN, TIDUR, TUNGGU MATI.. After listening to few of her stories..i am so curious to go and see wat actually takes place in this centres. She said..daily she can hear people screaming in pain but nobody would bother about them. Many will be calling for help but no one comes. Atleast 2 to 3 of them die in a week. She have never seen any doctors there to care for their health. One lady who fell down in the centre..was brought to the hospital but than returned to the centre after 2 days. She died after two days..she was not given food and anything to drink. Some of them who die..remains in the bed for more than a day before the body is taken away. Their daily food is rice and egg...and if lucky they get chicken once a month. Why are these people treated worse than animals?? Where has the value of humanitarian gone?? I really wish we can go and see for ourselfs if all she said was true...but i guess i wouldnt be surprised if it was.
