We meet the last Wednesday of the month at Hamilton Station Hotel, cnr Beaumont St and Fern St, Hamilton 6pm. RANN CORE VALUES 1. Refugees are welcome 2. No one is illegal 3. Let them land, let them stay 4. End mandatory detention Under the treaty regarding the treatment of refugees signed in 1951 by Australia, we have obligations to protect the human rights of all asylum seekers and refugees who arrive in Australia, regardless of how or where they arrive and whether they arrive with or without a visa. We are supporters of the fundamental human right to seek asylum when fleeing persecution or torture. RANN focuses raising awareness for refugee rights by engaging in local level organising, distributing information, organising public meetings and speakers, submissions, rallies, and other actions. RANN works collaboratively with other organisations who support our core values. MONTHLY RANN MEETINGS We meet last Wednesday of the month 6pm – 7:30pm at Hamilton Station Hotel, Beaumont St. The hotel is within walking distance of Hamilton train station. All welcome.
