Australia Day at The Beach - Huge thanks once again to our great bunch of members for volunteering to help out at the Summer Surf Girl Australia Day at the Beach event. Everyone was once again motivated by the tireless efforts of Elyce and Karen Dahms who organised the event. Activities were pie eating, slip and slide, thong throwing, beach sprints, egg and spoon races, wheel barrow race.There were cash and conventional prizes given out. Big thanks goes to the financial support given by the Mackay Regional Council in aiding the event, plus other great sponsors such as DBCT, Mitre 10, Sarina Pie Shop, Sarina Beach Motel, Sarina Hand Rails, Domino Pizza,Thirsty Sound & Goodes Butchery, In excess of 300 people that included a great cross section of the community turned up to enjoy the activities and beach.
